BEL-EIRE LINER SERVICE
Fast Lines Belgium started a Liner Service between Antwerp (Wijngaardnatie) and Drogheda Port. All kind of breakbulk and general cargoes such as steel products, bagged material, palletized goods, project cargoes, etc. are welcome.

We envisage cargoes currently either trucked via UK land-bridge to Ireland or smaller lots difficult to ship as full and complete cargo. Our aim is to have a regular monthly sailing with a 3200dwt vessel and where parcels can be as little as 1 truck load.

The cargo will be shipped with the Fast Lines Belgium fleet (www.fast-lines.com/fleet) or sub, all of which are single deck box-shaped coasters.

ANTWERP TERMINAL

Loading in Antwerp is effected on Wijngaardnatie terminal situated at the Albert dock from quay 99 till 123. Wijngaardnatie handles all kind of breakbulk cargoes and specialises in steel products. They can accept cargoes by truck, rail or inland barge and even transhipment cargoes. Wijngaardnatie terminal has plenty of open and covered storage space and about 1,5km of quay length.

DROGHEDA TERMINAL

Fast Terminals are the stevedore operating on Drogheda Town quay and Tom Roe’s point, located between Dublin and Belfast and next to the main Motorway M1, Drogheda port is ideally situated to cover on-carriage to the whole Irish isle.
The part has substantial warehousing (+ 10.000sqm) on the quay and even more open space storage it allows the Bel Eire  Service to handle all kind of break bulk cargoes.

Smet Building Products Ltd located in Newry (Northern-Ireland) is since many years importing various bagged and palletized building products from Continental Europe into Ireland and Northern-Ireland. Some of the cargo is send by silo container directly from Antwerp to Dublin. Most of the cargo is now shipped by truck via UK to Ireland.
Due to growing demand and the uncertainty of Brexit, Smet Building Products Ltd asked Fast Lines Belgium to find a solution for direct shipment from Antwerp to Ireland for bagged and palletized cargoes.
Having a fleet of coasters and facilities in Drogheda Fast Lines Belgium launched the idea for a direct liner service between Antwerp and Drogheda for all kinds of breakbulk cargoes. Fast Lines Belgium is covering door-door transport for all Smet Building Products Ltd cargoes coming from Belgium, Germany, Holland and the North of France.
